Verify Ownership for Arbitrum-based Addresses with AOPP
21 Analytics’ Travel Rule solution, 21 Travel Rule, now supports self-hosted wallet verification on Arbitrum through the AOPP Portal, giving VASPs a fast and secure way to verify wallet ownership when customers transact on the network.
Why Support Arbitrum?
Its compatibility with Ethereum tools and applications, combined with lower transaction costs, has made Arbitrum an important network for DeFi, trading and other on-chain financial applications.
Arbitrum has also become an important environment for tokenised real-world assets (RWAs), with institutional projects and financial applications using the network to connect tokenised assets with on-chain liquidity. Examples include liquidity routes for BlackRock’s BUIDL, Ondo Finance and Robinhood’s tokenised offerings.
This activity highlights Arbitrum’s growing role in bringing institutional assets into public blockchain ecosystems and integrating them with DeFi, making support for Arbitrum increasingly relevant for banks and financial institutions entering the digital asset space.
Arbitrum currently supports a broad ecosystem of applications and reports more than 2.4 billion lifetime transactions across its platform. As institutional adoption of digital assets expands across multiple blockchain networks, financial institutions need compliance infrastructure that can accommodate these ecosystems while meeting the operational and regulatory requirements of the traditional financial sector.
21 Travel Rule is designed to provide this infrastructure, supporting banks, financial institutions and VASPs with institutional-grade Travel Rule compliance across the networks and assets they use.
For VASPs, Arbitrum is therefore an increasingly relevant network to consider when supporting customers who transact with digital assets on Ethereum Layer 2 networks.
Arbitrum and the AOPP Portal
After a customer has initiated a transaction via their exchange's dashboard, a unique proof is requested. The customer then follows the instructions to connect their wallet and prove ownership of the relevant address.
Once the verification is completed, the proof is automatically returned and recorded in the 21 Travel Rule software, and the compliance team can view the proof in the 21 Travel Rule Compliance Dashboard.

Compliance with Minimal Effort
By adding Arbitrum to the AOPP Portal's supported chains, VASPs can provide customers with a straightforward alternative to manual wallet-signing procedures.
The result is a smoother verification process for customers and a more efficient compliance workflow for VASPs.
In addition to Arbitrum, the AOPP Portal supports digital assets native to the Bitcoin, Ethereum, Binance Chain, TRON, Polygon, Solana, Avalanche, Gnosis, and Optimism. Moreover, by leveraging ISO 24165, more than 2800 digital assets are supported.
With 21 Travel Rule, VASPs can automate wallet verification, streamline compliance workflows and maintain control over sensitive customer data.
