8.4.0
21 Travel Rule Version 8.4.0 helps compliance teams cover more blockchain networks, control who can access and change data, and investigate transactions faster. The release also brings improvements to TRUST workflows, Microsoft 365 email authentication, and deployment options for enterprise infrastructure.
- Expanded Self-hosted Wallet Verification: Verify wallet ownership on Optimism, Arbitrum, Base, Avalanche and Gnosis, with new Phantom support for Solana proofs.
- Enterprise Access Controls and Audit History: Enforce role permissions across the API and dashboard, and review event histories directly in detail views on enterprise deployments.
- Faster Compliance Investigations: Find relevant records with asset and date filters, saved column preferences, result counts and broader transaction search.
- Smarter TRUST Workflows: Match beneficiary names against registered customers, route transactions across TRP and TRUST, and simplify network configuration.
- Microsoft 365 Email Authentication: Connect Microsoft 365 SMTP using OAuth 2.0, with authentication settings available in the Compliance Dashboard.
- Flexible Deployment and Stronger Security: Use managed PostgreSQL and external S3 storage, restrict ingress by IP address, and verify signatures on published container images.
- Other Improvements: Updated branding across the product, notifications when a newer version is available, and recognition of Frankencoin (ZCHF).
Expanded Self-hosted Wallet Verification
Verify self-hosted wallet ownership across more of the networks your customers use. Address ownership proofs now support Optimism, Arbitrum, Base, Avalanche and Gnosis, and Phantom can now sign Solana ownership proofs.
Enterprise Access Controls and Audit History
Enterprise deployments now enforce role permissions for GraphQL queries, mutations and subscriptions. The Compliance Dashboard also disables actions when a user does not have the required role, helping firms control who can view data and make changes.
New history views bring the events associated with transactions, wallet proofs and counterparty VASPs directly into their detail views. Enterprise compliance teams can follow a record's history during an investigation or audit.
Faster Compliance Investigations
The Compliance Dashboard makes it easier to find relevant records and keep the information you need in view:
- Filter tables by asset and date interval, and see the number of results matching your filter.
- Hide columns to suit your workflow, with your selection preserved across page reloads.
- Search transactions by beneficiary wallet address.
- View all of a customer's asset accounts together in the Address Book detail view.
- Identify the base chain of an asset token, making tokens on different networks easier to distinguish.
Smarter TRUST Workflows
Incoming TRUST requests now match the beneficiary's name against the registered customer. Set the matching rules in the Compliance Dashboard to reflect your firm's requirements.
- Transactions initiated by wallet address now support both TRP and TRUST.
- TRUST setup now obtains your VASP's legal name from the bulletin board and, where no TRP configuration exists, creates one.
- Settings validate bulletin board access before being saved, and requests for personal information recheck the counterparty's trust status before proceeding.
Microsoft 365 Email Authentication
The email workflow now supports OAuth 2.0 authentication for Microsoft 365 SMTP. Configure your Microsoft Entra credentials in the Compliance Dashboard to connect your organisation's Microsoft 365 email service using modern authentication.
Flexible Deployment and Stronger Security
Deploy 21 Travel Rule using managed PostgreSQL and external S3 storage instead of the bundled database and storage services. This gives infrastructure teams more flexibility to use their existing operational tools and services.
- Restrict ingress traffic to approved IP addresses with HAProxy's new allowlist support.
- Verify signatures on published container images, which are now signed with cosign.
Other Improvements
- A new colour theme and branding bring a consistent visual experience to the Compliance Dashboard and the Address Ownership Portal.
- Users are notified when a newer version of 21 Travel Rule is available.
- Frankencoin (ZCHF) is now recognised as an asset.
